Miranda Holt
Miranda Holt is a specialist in diversity in media content. She led the BBC’s 50:50 Equality Project till March 2025. This initiative started in BBC News in 2017 to increase the representation of women on air. Since then it has been taken up by 700 teams across the BBC who file their data internally every month. Miranda also oversaw the External Partners who used the 50:50 methodology, from public broadcasters to university press offices. Before that, she was an assistant editor at Political Programmes in BBC News where she was involved with the 50:50 project from early on, increasing the number of women from political journalism on air. Previously, she was an output editor on BBC Radio 4 daily news programmes: Today programme, World at One and PM. She has produced many political television programmes and commissioned digital films for under-served audiences. Miranda and Fran work together on the Expert Women training scheme.

Jim Davis
Jim Davis is a seasoned broadcaster with over 25 years on UK radio, spanning both the BBC and commercial stations. You'll hear him now on BBC Radio London, across the Local BBC Radio network, and on Magic Radio. A passionate interviewer, Jim’s grilled top politicians and swapped stories with icons like Diana Ross and Cher.
For nearly a decade, he’s also trained others to be interviewed, helping them speak with confidence, take control of the conversation, and make sure their message is heard.

Jonathan Allen
Jonathan Allan is an accomplished camera operator and video editor who has worked in every corner of the world for over 25 years, capturing the most inspiring stories for a diverse range of clients. Bringing multi-camera live production skills to the BBC Academy, Jonathan has also helped to keep BBC staff up to speed on issues and technologies which affect the broadcast industry. Jonathan is passionate about his craft and is a stickler for detail!
