Morfarch Media was founded by Fran Acheson in April 2025. Fran is an award-winning radio producer and has made numerous programmes for BBC Radios 2, 3 and 4, from documentaries and features to live strands. Fran is also an inspirational trainer and has led the BBC’s training over a wide range of subjects including all aspects of radio production, writing, ideas generation, impartiality and editorial standards. She led the BBC Academy’s Expert Women training scheme where female subject specialists gained the confidence and knowledge to appear on air through a day of tv and radio experiences.

 

Fran also devised and led Radio 3’s New Generation Voices initiative, aimed at attracting new diverse  presentation talent. She was storytelling advisor and coach to Radio 3’s New Generation Baroque Ensemble, Ensemble Moliere, helping the band to tell compelling musical stories during their concerts. She’s convener of the European Broadcasting Union’s Classical Presenters’ Forum.

 

Fran is learning Cymraeg with Swansea University.
